TA MAATOU PAAKIHI
Waipapa Trust is an Ahu Whenua Trust which is situated 23km northwest of Taupo, New Zealand, in a steamy hive of activity called Mokai.
The Trust has in its care over 7,000 hectares of land which forms the basis of its intensive farming operation and is undertaken by the Trust's wholly owned subsidiary company, Waipapa Group Limited. Included in this operation are dairy farming, sheep and cattle fattening units and wool growing. The company employs a number of permanent staff and extra seasonal contractors in its farming business.

While farming is the core business of the organisation the Trust has also diversified into Forestry and Commercial Property.

Overall, the Trust has assets totalling $160 million which is governed by a board of 4 trustees.
TO MAATOU HITORI
During this period the land was farmed by the Department of Lands and Survey. In the early 1970’s the Board temporarily changed the emphasis of the departments work from one of land development to settlement. However Lands and Survey (Landcorp) reverted back to land development until 1987.
Waipapa 9 Trust is a result of the amalgamation of land under the Maori Land Development Scheme and administered by the Board of Maori Affairs from the 1970’s
