direct descendants of the Trust.

Am I eligible for an education grant?
For a student to be eligible for an education grant, his or her parent/s or grandparent/s
must be a current registered beneficiary of Waipapa 9 Trust.

How do I apply for a grant?

When do applications close?
All applications close on the last day of March each year. Applications received
after that date will not be accepted or considered by the Trust.
Secondary Grants: 22nd March 2012 (Yr 11 – 13)
Tertiary Grants: 15th April 2012
Diplomas, graduate studies,
postgraduate studies, including apprenticeships
Scholarships: 20th May 2012 (Tuaropaki only)
Open to tertiary study only, secondary students need not apply.
The amount of an education grant can vary from year to year, depending on the allocation
made available and the number of applicants.

What happens if my application is incomplete?
Each application will be examined very closely by the Trust, especially the details
relating to an applicant's Waipapa affiliation.
All sections (on both sides of the form) must be completed, otherwise the application
will not be considered.
A grant is to assist with the applicant's education.

If I receive a grant from another source, will that affect my application?
No, definitely not.

I am studying overseas, am I eligible for a grant?
Yes, a student studying overseas may receive an education grant. However payment
will be made in New Zealand dollars with no adjustments for the exchange rate.
